Call of Duty World League

Today, Activision announced plans for the new Call of Duty World League that we have been working with them on for some time now. It’s a new global eSports league that will triple its prize pool to a cool $3 million, expanding to pro and amateur divisions. Additionally, the Call of Duty Championship will move to the Fall and support an all-new season structure. For us, these are all great things that truly move the ball forward for the competitive community. Click here to learn more about it.

As you know, Treyarch has been passionately committed to an eSports agenda well before Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 first appeared at the first Call of Duty Championship. From introducing features like CODcaster mode to the new Arena mode in Black Ops 3, we’ve been driven by the idea that Call of Duty is a competitive game. Whether you’re playing from your couch and connecting with your friends for a casual game of multiplayer, or in the final round of a tournament competing for big money, it’s all about the thrill of competition and the bragging rights that come with victory.

When Black Ops 3 arrives on November 6, it won’t be an exception. Treyarch is proud to be delivering the next level of eSports features, creating the most competitive Call of Duty to date.

We can’t wait to see what you do with it.
