PC - Beta Feedback
Yesterday, the studio began to share details about how the feedback from Beta participants has already begun to shape a better Day One experience for everyone. Today, we’d like to share a bit more information about what Beta feedback has begun to do, for the PC experience in particular.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: to all that played and provided feedback, thank you! Your input has been invaluable and has already contributed to changes that are being made to the game. Some of that feedback applies universally across both the PC and next-gen console versions of the game, and some of it is specific to PC only. Here’s a sampling of the PC-specific changes and improvements that you can expect when Black Ops 3 launches on November 6:
- Some players felt that the game didn’t perform well on their computer. The good news is that the PC Beta didn’t include final performance optimizations. This work is being completed as we speak. We’re improving performance and working with hardware partners to prepare optimized drivers for launch.
- Other players described the mouse as “floaty” or “laggy.” We agree – player feedback helped us find the problem and we fixed it.
- Some players with certain networking configurations had trouble connecting to online services. Thanks to your reports we were able to fix this compatibility issue.
- During the Beta, some players provided feedback that they were experiencing various crashes, freezes, or other bugs. We’ve been dissecting each one and as a result have been able to fix a lot of bugs including many crash and freeze issues.
Again, that is a mere sampling of the PC fixes that have been implemented or are in progress, directly as a result of player feedback following the Beta.
Thank you for all of your input! We’re looking forward to seeing you online on November 6.
