We’re Back

We originally wrote those headlines in April of 2015 and they’re just as true today as they were then – and for that, we thank you.

After playing Black Ops 3 together for nearly the last three years, today we had the privilege of revealing Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 (which of course we’ll be playing together in the Beta and at launch starting on October 12.)

Today’s livestream provided all the details on the game, but there are a few remaining items that we wanted to cover with you here:

  • Community Manager: We’re excited to be working with Beenox on the development of the PC, and amped to be working with Blizzard to bring Black Ops 4 to Battle.net. To help us along on that journey…we’d like to introduce you to Rob Smith, who will be taking on CM duties, with a particular emphasis on the world of the PC. Black Ops 4 marks our most ambitious PC effort to date, and Rob’s addition to the team underscores the commitment we’re making. Rob has a rich history of writing about Call of Duty PC games, which dates all the way back to the original Call of Duty. While you can certainly look for him on Reddit and Battle.net, he will also be driving the voice behind @TreyarchPC on Twitter. For specific technical issues (i.e. I can’t redeem my code, something didn’t download, etc.), you will still contact @ATVIAssist and/or Battle.net.
  • Community Standards: Today is a good opportunity to remind everyone that our social channels are meant to celebrate the broader community of players – it’s not a place where there is any tolerance for toxic behavior or speech. Language or behavior that is threatening or abusive is unacceptable…full stop. Passionate discourse and differences of opinions? Totally fine. Abusive, intolerant, hateful speech? Meet our “block” button. (That kind of zero tolerance.) Even with Rob and his superhuman editorial powers, we won’t be able to catch everything, but we’ll be more than happy to address any issues that cross our radar. Of course, please feel free to engage in community self-policing, and use those in-game reporting tools when playing.
  • Treyarch Social Channels: We’ve said it before, but it bears repeating: for the latest information and updates, and to make sure that you’re part of the conversation, please follow us here:
