The Launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is just the beginning...

We’re only a few weeks away from the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 – trust us, October 12 will be here before you know it. This year has been an incredible journey so far, and we wanted to thank you for your support and inspiration along the way, especially through each of our betas. A year filled with two separate betas has been an adventure, and we’re confident that the game we play on Day One will show for it.

Hopefully, the frequent developer updates that we’ve shared throughout the betas tipped you off, but it’s worth stating explicitly that with the launch of Black Ops 4, we will deliver a new level of community support and engagement that goes beyond anything we’ve ever done before. Whether you’re surviving to the final circle with Quads in Blackout, fighting to take over Control points in Multiplayer, or defeating an endless horde of Zombies, we want to hear about your experience. Communication is the key to making Black Ops 4 the best game we’ve ever delivered.

We look forward to keeping up that dialogue, but our support of Black Ops 4 will go further: our goal is to deliver a steady stream of content to the entire community – the most active calendar of events in our history, period. Following launch, we’ll continue to add a variety of free content for the entire community across Multiplayer, Zombies and Blackout. While the specific details of each release will come as the dates are announced, here are a few examples:

  • Nuketown: An all-new take on this fan-favorite map will be landing in November for all players to enjoy.
  • Specialists: We have a number of new Specialists already in development, with our first brand new character coming in December.
  • Blackout: There are so many places that we want to go with this game mode. The map and gameplay rules that you’ll experience at launch are just the beginning. We will continue to support the community with map updates, expansions and new Blackout modes for everyone.
  • Events: In addition to the content above, we have many seasonal and time-limited events that will deliver new game modes and content to all players.

There’s a lot of new content coming to everyone, and we couldn’t be more excited about our community plans… we hope you are too.

We are working hard to make Black Ops 4 something that is truly extraordinary for the whole community to enjoy together going forward. We are 100% committed to supporting the Black Ops community and cannot wait to take the next step on this journey, starting October 12.

Thank you!
