Veterans Day of Service 2019
For the sixth year in a row, Treyarch dedicated time and talents to several local organizations that support veterans as part of Activision Blizzard’s larger Veterans Day of Service initiative. This year, Treyarch was proud to partner with the Goodwill Veteran Employment Program, U.S. VETS, and PAWS/LA to help out our vets.
Volunteers created binders with resources pertaining to resume and cover letter writing, questions for employers, and job interview preparation tips for veterans seeking employment through Goodwill's Operation: GoodJobs program and U.S. VETS. Employees were also invited to include decorated inspirational letters about their own careers, educations, and personal philosophies.
Partnering with nonprofit PAWS/LA's Project PetStrong, Treyarch volunteers helped to create tug toys made from fleece strips for support dogs. The toys will be donated to veterans with support dogs living in the surrounding Los Angeles area.
In 2018, Treyarch volunteers assisted in making hand-crafted quilts for veterans with the Quilts of Valor Foundation, a long-time veteran support organization.
“Treyarch has built a rich tradition of philanthropy over the years, working with groups as diverse as the Call of Duty Endowment to the Make-a-Wish organization, and we are proud to contribute to today’s Veterans Day of Service,” said Treyarch Co-Studio Heads Dan Bunting and Mark Gordon, “because it’s important to give back, particularly to those who have given so much.”
